In most games, but especially my latest obsession of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, I’m constantly at odds with the aesthetic of armor. But when a game gives me the option to play dress up with the main character, you best believe me when I say I’m not running around in ugly armor. I will play an objectively “harder” game (high enemies while wearing low stat armor/weapons) in order to look good while doing it.
And that makes me especially grateful to Ubisoft for integrating a customization update to the armor system in Odyssey. Now excuse me while I continue to tweak everything just to make Kassandra the beautiful Greek powerhouse of a living weapon she is.
